Kim Dufour has worked in higher education for over 30 years. Her last position was
as the Director of Academic Advising at California State University Chico. Kim possesses
seventeen years of fundraising experience, including twelve years in higher education,
specificcally in engineering and sciences at California Sate University Chico. Prior
to that, Kim worked in development for a Sutter Hospitals in Sacramento. Kim began
her career in Student Life and Leadership and was the Director of Community Action
Volunteers in Education, an organization that each year placed 2000 student volunteers
into community service.
In addition, Kim is a former parent at SDSU and University of Oregon. Kim has been
actively involved in a variety of community organizations; Gateway Science Museum,
Soroptimist International, United Way, Rape Crisis Intervention and Parent Education
Network. She served on the Alumni Board of Directors for California State University
Chico and the University of Oregon Parent Family Association. Kim has presented workshops
for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, National Academic Advising
Association, National Society of Fundraising Executives, The Council of Academic Deans
and National Association for Campus Activities.
Kim graduated from California State University Chico in 1981 with a BA in Social Work
and Corrections. She continued her higher education at Chico State and earned a Master
of Public Administration in 1989.
