Research and Teaching Interests

Professor Plotkin’s research interests are aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, and basic incompressible fluid mechanics. The research has emphasized the blending of analytical and computational techniques for the solution of a wide variety of flow problems, including fluid jets, airfoil and hydrofoil theory, ground effect, separation, and vortex modeling.

Professor Plotkin teaches courses in aerodynamics, astronautics and engineering mathematics.
