CITRIX CLIENT SETUP
To Access
Engineering Applications Servers
The following applications are currently available for remote access:
Best Dynamics MatLab
Mentor
Graphics Visual Studio
To remotely access these applications on a Windows Desktop, follow the following procedure:
Download the Citrix ICA client from http://www.citrix.com/download/default.htm#client_ica
Install the Citrix ICA client on your personal computer.
To configure the connection to the College of Engineering’s servers:
1.
Start Program Neighborhood from Start/Programs/Citrix ICA Client/Citrix
Program Neighborhood

Double-click Application Set Manager
3.
Double-click Custom ICA Connections
4.
Double-click Add ICA Connection
5. Accept the default connection type (Local Area Network) by clicking Next in the Add New ICA Connection Wizard.
6.
Select the Server Location button on the next
screen and you will see the Locate Server or Published Application Box. Unselect the Use Default and click Add.

7. In the Add Server Location Address enter the following IP Address 130.191.165.220 and select OK and OK.

Drop down the Published Application Window and Select Desktop
and then click Next.

9. Select View in a separate window (Seamless Window) and click Next.

10. Accept the default encryption level by clicking Next.
11. You
can enter your Windows Engineering Domain Username and Password if you like and
you will not have to authenticate each time you log on. The only suggested entry is the Domain: Engineering.
12. Use the default Window Colors: 256. You can adjust the Window Size to your preference and click Next.
13. Leave the Application: and Working Directory: blank and click Next.

14. Click Finish and you should have a Connection to the Desktop. Right click on the Desktop Icon and select Properties. Select the Options Tab and set the Window Size to Full Screen and select OK.
15. You can right click on the Desktop Connection again and Create a Desktop Shortcut.
16. To use this connection, just double click on it and you should connect to a desktop on the Engineering Application Server.
