CONSULTING EXPERIENCE

Studies of seismic hazard for the Naval Submarine Base buildings, the MTDB Mission Valley LRT Project, San Diego Gas & Electric Company's South Bay Operation Center, the UCSD Medical Center, the City of San Diego Point Loma Outfall Extension project; the studies included characterization of potential seismic sources, performing probabilistic analyses of seismic ground motion and fault rupture size, and preparing seismic response spectra.

Investigations of soil liquefaction potential in the San Diego urban area for the U.S. Geological Survey, liquefaction studies for the MTDB Mission Valley LRT Project and Solar Turbines in San Diego, California and Emilie Ritchen Elementary School in Oxnard, California; the studies included analyses of liquefaction-related soil properties, evaluation of the probability of soil liquefaction and associated ground failure, monitoring and post-construction evaluation of effectiveness of mitigation measures such as vibroreplacement and stone columns.
