SingaporeThe campus of NTU occupies a beautiful 200-hectare site in the south-western part of Singapore, about 25 km from the city centre. The campus buildings are laid out on a master plan drawn up by world famous architect Kenzo Tange. Members of the NTU community study and work in state-of-the-art and well-equipped laboratories, lecture theatres and tutorial rooms.

The University has collaborations in teaching and research activities with renowned universities such as Cornell University, MIT, University of Tokyo, Cambridge University, Imperial College and Stanford University, among others. The College of Engineering at NTU is one of the world’s largest engineering programs with 15,000 students and 1,700 staff in the six Engineering Schools. An essential part of course offerings in engineering is the requirement for students to undergo professional/industrial attachments (internship) in a local or overseas industry/business. The industrial attachment program (paid internship) offers students the opportunity to gain valuable and practical hands-on experience in the course of their study.

There are two semesters in each academic year progressing from July to November and January to May.
