Shruthi Dasappa


Shruthi Dasappa is a Ph.D. candidate in the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program for Engineering Sciences. She works in the Flames, Aerosols and NanoScience Lab in the SDSU Mechanical Engineering Department under professor Joaquin Camacho, studying combustion and flames as a technique to synthesize nanomaterials for fabrication of energy storage devices..

She was recently awarded the 2020 Shah Family Entrepreneur Fellowship and Institute for Global Entrepreneurship Fellowship by UCSD, and the 2021 INTERN Fellowship by the National Science Foundation for an internship at Argonne National Lab.
