Including the kind of research experience that enables you to hit the ground running after graduation. SDSU’s award-winning faculty, top-ranking research results, and innovative facilities offer a perfect blend of classroom knowledge and hands-on lab work.

Because you’re destined to succeed.

And we’re committed to supporting you with special training in study skills and leadership, plus tutoring and mentoring as needed. We’ll also help you explore the many career possibilities available to engineering graduates, and connect you to industry placement opportunities.

Because you value diversity and internationalism.

SDSU’s enrollment, reflecting the demographics of the San Diego region, ranks among the most diverse in the nation. We’re especially known as a great university for Hispanic students, ranking No. 4 in the nation. Our faculty also mirrors the global reach of the engineering profession. And our emphasis on international experiences ensures you’ll graduate ready to contribute within a global workplace.

Are you coming from a community college?

A full 40 percent of our engineering graduates came to SDSU from community colleges. If you’re currently enrolled in a community college, be sure to check with a counselor. The coursework required to transfer to SDSU engineering is rigorous and specified.

Are you a veteran?

If you’re a veteran, you’ll feel right at home here at San Diego State. We offer special programs tailored to your needs, and many of our industry partners have shown special interest in hiring vets.
