BIOGRAPHY

Michelle Peters is the Chief Executive Officer at Channelside Water Resources, the owners of the Carlsbad Desalination Plant, the largest desalination plant in North America. She works closely with the Plant’s operating company, water purchaser, public partners, regulatory agencies, and various interested stakeholders to ensure the Plant's successful operations and the restoration of the associated wetlands mitigation project. Additionally, she oversees new technology and research partnerships focused on improving desalination and related technologies. Michelle serves on the American Membrane Technology Association Board, the Palomar College Water Technical Advisory Board, the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation Board, and the CalDesal Executive and Regulatory Committees. Michelle holds a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of San Diego and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from San Diego State University.
