Biography

Tim Slentz is a member of the San Diego Customer and Field Engagement team. He is responsible for developing and sustaining partner relationships to ensure the Navy’s aviation and communications needs, priorities, and perspectives are effectively communicated to Boeing's business divisions. This involves assisting with strategy, technology, investment, and capability matching decisions, both for new opportunities and addressing existing challenges.

Tim joined Boeing after 27 years in the United States Navy. A career E-2C Hawkeye pilot, he held the position of Commanding Officer for both VAW-121 and Naval Base Coronado, the largest Navy base on the West Coast. He amassed 4,300 flight hours and 440 carrier- arrested landings. Additionally, he served in key roles at Headquarters, United States Africa Command in Stuttgart, Germany and at Navy Installations Command, as the Executive Assistant to the Commander.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Science-Business from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Science in Management from Troy University, and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. He also completed an Executive Certification in Business Administration from the Mendoza College of Business. Furthermore, he is a graduate of the Executive Energy Leadership Institute program at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, CO, as well as the San Diego Chamber of Commerce’s LEAD San Diego INFLUENCE course.

He also serves on the Board of the San Diego Military Advisory Council (SDMAC) and chairs the Bases and Infrastructure committee.
