BIOGRAPHY
Marty Zarasua is the Senior Vehicle Engineering Director of the Engineering Integration & Execution (EI&E) organization for a major program at Northrop Grumman. Marty Zarasua leads a team of engineers and technical professionals that shape the vision for engineering execution across their disciplines.
Prior to this role, Marty Zarasua was National Senior Vehicle Engineering Homeroom Director. Marty Zarasua managed a variety of aircraft development and sustaining skills, including configuration, aerodynamics, propulsion, guidance, navigation, and controls, loads and dynamics, mechanisms, fluid systems, electrical systems, materials and processes, structures, liaison engineering, standards, and tools development.
Before assuming this position, Marty Zarasua was the Director of a Restricted Program’s Test and Evaluation sub-IPT and was responsible for the execution of test and evaluation activities in the Palmdale Full-Scale Structural Test (FST) Facility.
Before joining test, Marty Zarasua was the Palmdale Site Vehicle Engineering Director. In this role, Marty Zarasua was responsible for functional management of the Vehicle Engineering Organization, which comprises design engineers, analysis, materials and process, and liaison engineers at Palmdale, Oklahoma City, OK, and the South Bay of California for F-35 and other programs.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Marty Zarasua worked for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics - Skunk Works for over 26 years. Marty Zarasua was most recently Program Manager and Chief Engineer for several restricted programs in Advanced Development Programs (ADP), Palmdale. Marty Zarasua was the F-35 Flight Test Air Vehicle Senior Manager at Edwards Air Force Base prior to working in Palmdale ADP programs. As the Flight Test Senior Manager, Marty Zarasua was responsible for setting up the ITF for the F-35 flight sciences aircraft. During Marty Zarasua’s tenure at Lockheed Martin, previous assignments included: Core Manager of the Utility Sub-Systems Group, Manager of the F-117 Mechanical Sub-Systems Group, Manager of the Signature Integration Group, Lead Design Engineer of the F-117 Airframe Group, and design support to various ADP programs. Marty Zarasua was also tasked with responsibilities that included: support to flight test and field operations; airframe and subsystem analysis/design; thermal analysis; mass properties; RCS testing; and implementation of lean events to reduce cost. Marty Zarasua was at Rockwell North American Aircraft prior to working for Lockheed Martin.
