Donovan is the graduate coordinator and lecturer in the College of Engineering. In this role, he manages graduate admissions, academic and career advising, and directly coordinates the Joint Doctoral Program in Engineering Sciences with the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and the Master of Engineering program. He is also a lecturer teaching Engineering 101 to new students in their first semester at SDSU. In addition, he directs the annual Engineering commencement ceremony, advises multiple student organizations including Rocket Project, Society of American Military Engineers, Aztec Electric Racing, and the Order of the Engineer, and has chaired the University Senate's Staff Affairs Committee. He has been awarded numerous accolades throughout his career at SDSU, including the highest for staff, the Presidential Staff Excellence Award.
