Students at Explore SDSU2012

SDSU’s College of Engineering attracted an impressive number of interested students at this year’s Explore SDSU. With the guidance of the College of Engineering’s Donovan Geiger and Larry Hinkle, the day was a success from the start. “Despite the torrential downpour, the turnout was outstanding and we attracted many prospective students who were enthusiastically interested in engineering.” – Donovan Geiger.

Faculty lab demonstrations from the many disciplines of engineering contributed to the notable number of interested students. Faculty demos included a Concrete and Materials lab presented by Dr. Bayasi, Bioengineering lab presented by Dr. Kassegne, a Check out the Robots lab presented by Dr. Ozturk, and many more.

"Explore SDSU Open House is a free all-campus event featuring an information fair, academic program workshops, tours and open houses. This is a great opportunity for future students to explore what life is like as an SDSU Aztec.

SDSU alumni are also invited back to campus to reconnect with favorite programs and departments, enjoy live entertainment, visit the Alumni Center, and explore campus to see what’s changed.

In addition to activities for prospective students and alumni, there are dozens of activities for attendees of all ages."
