Civil Engineering Alumnae Named SDBJ Women of Influence in Construction
Engineering alumnae Alexis Bray (BS ’17, Civil Engineering) and Lori Ann Stevens (MS ’08, Civil Engineering) were named among the 2023 honorees of the San Diego Business Journal’s Women of Influence in Construction.

Alexis Bray (BS ‘17, Civil Engineering)
Alexis Bray is Project Manager for IQHQ. She currently serves as Project Manager for IQHQ’s West Coast projects, primarily the Research and Development District (RaDD) along the San Diego waterfront, a transformational development spanning 1.7 million square feet of of ce and lab space, retail and restaurants, and green open space. Given the size and scale of RaDD, it’s critical for the project to be managed with a high level of efficiency—and Bray always delivers. As a testament to Bray’s organizational skills, budget deliverables are always accurate and reliable. Before joining IQHQ, Bray worked as a Project Engineer at Kilroy Realty in San Diego. She has served on project teams for various well-known developments around San Diego, including One Paseo in Del Mar and 2100 Kettner in Little Italy. In doing so, she gained knowledge regarding core and shell construction and tenant improvement experience for retail and of office spaces. Bray graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. She is an Urban Land Institute (ULI) member and a member of its Young Leaders Group.
Lori Ann Stevens (MS ‘08, Civil Engineering)
Lori Ann Stevens is Vice President and Director of Technical Design with Turner Construction Company. With more than 20 years of developer, design and construction experience, Stevens brings strong management expertise and field experience to her role with Turner. In addition to her national role as Director of Technical Design for Turner Engineering Group, Stevens currently serves as Design Manager on the $2.6 billion SAN New Terminal 1 project. Stevens is active as a member of the Design-Build Association of America (DBIA). She is a LEED Accredited Professional. She has been active in numerous professional organizations over the years, having previously served as the President of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and a board member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). She is a previous director for the United States Green Building Council. Stevens serves as a mentor in Turner’s Future Leaders Group Mentorship program.
