Professor Chris Mi recently received $959,923 for his research in solid-state batteries. The project is funded by the California Energy Commission (CEC) with Solid Energies Inc. as the prime recipient. Solid Energies Inc. will receive a total of $3 million from the CEC and also provide a cost share of  $8 million to the project.

In this 3-year project, Solid Energies and SDSU will work together to develop high safety, wide-operation-temperature, low-cost all-solid-state Li-ion battery (ASSLiB) and ASSLiB-based energy storage systems.

Congratulations, Dr. Mi!
