Three faculty members have been selected for the 2022 Outstanding Faculty Global Engagement Awards.

The winners will present their work at the Faculty Global Engagement Symposium and Awards Ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. in the Montezuma Theater & Foyer in Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union. The ceremony is part of International Education Week and the Re:Border Conference

Selected for the Outstanding Global Educator/Researcher Award, which recognizes faculty members whose research and/or creative activities have impacted the global community through international collaborations, community-based interventions, and/or peer-reviewed publications, were:​​​​​​​

 

Dr. Gloria Faraone, Assistant Professor, College of Engineering, is selected for the Outstanding Global Researcher Award, which recognizes faculty members whose international scholarship innovation promotes global education.

Dr. Sera Hernandez, Associate Professor, College of Education, is selected for Outstanding Global Educator Award, which recognizes faculty members whose teaching innovation promotes global education.

Dr. Linda Abarbanell, Associate Professor, College of Sciences, Imperial Valley, is selected for the Outstanding Transborder Research Award, which recognizes faculty members whose transborder scholarship innovation promotes global education.
