Donald Mensah
Donald Mensah (BSAE '19) participated in SDSU's MESA Program, DBF (Design Build Fly), and the National Society of Black Engineers while an undergraduate student. Now working at Lockheed Martin, he gives back to the programs that gave him so much by donating to the MESA Engineering Fund.

Alumni Alfredo Aldrete (BSEE 97') and Sandra P. Aldrete (BSME 97') have made a gift to establish the "Alfredo Aldrete and Sandra Pulido Aldrete MESA Endowed Scholarship" for Engineering. Mr. and Mrs. Aldrete are long time donors to the MESA program providing both philanthropic gifts and gifts of volunteer service and leadership. The Aldretes credit the MESA program for much of their academic success and "feel blessed to be able to give back to the program".

As a recipient of two scholarships while he was a student at SDSU, alumnus Carlos Gonzalez (’97 BSCE and ‘00 MSCE) feels a responsibiity to give back. Philanthropic support and hiring students as interns and employees after graduation are ways that Carlos is helping to advance student success.

Alumnus Paul Stuverud (’71 BSEE and ‘76 MSEE) made a gift to establish the “Paul Stuverud MESA Endowed Scholarship" and hopes his scholarship support can ease the financial burden that many students face while pursuing their academic dreams.

As a first generation college graduate, alumnus Alex Mora ('04 BSME) established the "Alex Mora MESA Endowed Scholarship" to support other first generation students in the SDSU MESA program.

Alumnus Tom Kertesz ('60 BS Engineering) came to the US in 1956 after surviving the Holocaust and nine years of communist rule in Hungary. Hosted for 3.5 years at SDSU by Dr. Kramer Rohfleisch (Professor of History) and Marjorie Rohfleisch (Professor of Music), Tom is eternally grateful to the Rohfleisch family for their kindness and has established a memorial scholarship fund in their name to honor the couple.
