The largest annual professional conference in Aerospace Engineering, organized by American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), was attended by thirteen SDSU Engineering students.

Aerospace Engineering professor and Chair, Dr. Ping Lu, leads a project that will develop the method and algorithms for integrated optimal entry, descent, and landing (EDL) guidance for human Mars missions with pin-point precision.
