Dr. Reza Akhavian's Data-informed Construction Engineering (DiCE) lab is working on a project funded by Caltrans to evaluate drivers' distractions in the presence of drones near roadways.

Summer Internship: Day in the Life of Aina Narvasa, a civil/environmental engineering student. Aina is currently interning at NASA's Glenn Research Center, where she is conducting terra-mechanics research in the mTRAX Planetary Exploration Labs.

STEM Pathways researcher and incoming transfer student Roxana Nevarez spent her summer working with Dr. Junfei Xie on controlling a drone through hand gesture recognition.

Many people struggle with finding a way to incorporate both their profession and their hobbies into their lives. With two degrees and a teaching credential from San Diego State University, Doug Fronius was able to do both.
