Liza is a proud SDSU alumna and first-generation college graduate. She earned her bachelor's degree from San Diego State University and went on to complete her master's degree at Arizona State University. She brings extensive experience in nonprofit development with a focus on educational impact. She previously served as the Internship Coordinator and Industry Relations Specialist for SDSU's College of Engineering.

An advocate of civic engagement and lifelong learning, Liza has served on several nonprofit boards and organizations in San Diego and beyond. She is an active member of the San Diego College of Continuing Education's industry advisory committee and volunteered with the USS Midway Museum's Research Library.
