Gabriela (Gaby) is a first-generation transfer student and double SDSU alumna, earning a B.A. in Psychology in 2021 and an M.S. in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling in 2023. She joined the College of Engineering in Fall 2025 as a Major Advisor, supporting students in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, and Construction Management. Gabriela has extensive experience in advising, including her previous role as a Student Success Advisor in the department of Faculty Advancement & Student Success (FASS), where she led the Reenrollment Initiative and supported First-Gen and Transfer student success initiatives. She is passionate about empowering students and fostering inclusive, equitable programs that promote holistic advising. In her free time, Gabriela enjoys road trips, late-night adventures with friends, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
