Dr. Yusuf Ozturk is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at San Diego State University. He has published over 100 scholarly papers and co-authored 14 US patents in the area of electricity demand response, computer networks, cognitive management of energy resources. He is a founding member of the Smart Health Institute. His research has been supported by NSF, California Energy Commission, SSC. Pacific, Office of Naval Research, US Department of Education, Nokia , Qualcomm and Intel.
Dr. Ozturk served as the Computer Engineering Program Coordinator, ABET Coordinator and represented the College of Engineering in the SDSU Senate. He served and chaired several College and University committees. He received the Monty award in 2014 and the most influential professor award in 2015. Currently Dr. Ozturk is serving as the Interim Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies at San Diego State University College of Engineering.
