Dr. Zahra Nili Ahmadabadi, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and director of Dynamic Systems and Intelligent Machines Lab (DSIM), was awarded a $250,000 grant from Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) for her project on developing a sound modeling system that enables physics-based machine learning models for sound source detection purposes.

A Q&A with Kaylin Borders, an aerospace engineering student at SDSU. Kaylin recently completed an internship at NASA's Johnson Space Center as a Flight Mechanics and Trajectories Intern.

Dr. Reza Akhavian's Data-informed Construction Engineering (DiCE) lab is working on a project funded by Caltrans to evaluate drivers' distractions in the presence of drones near roadways.
