SDSU students and faculty were recognized for their work through both awards and scholarships at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics San Diego 2022 Awards.

The annual award for outstanding contributions will be presented at the All-University Convocation on Aug. 18.

We are proud to welcome for Fall 2022: Dongye (Don) Zhao (Chair, CCEE), Hanyang Li (CCEE), Tong Huang (ECE), Sara Adibi (ME), and Maysam Heydari Gharahcheshmeh (ME).

Dr. Dongye Zhao will be joining the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering as Professor and Chair effective August 16, 2022.

Nearly 37 years after Kennedy Jenks CEO Keith London began his master's degree at SDSU, he completed his MS in Civil Engineering to fulfill his father's wish. He encourages others to do the same as lifelong learners.

Dr. Reza Akhavian's Data-informed Construction Engineering (DiCE) lab is working on a project funded by Caltrans to evaluate drivers' distractions in the presence of drones near roadways.

Summer Internship: Day in the Life of Aina Narvasa, a civil/environmental engineering student. Aina is currently interning at NASA's Glenn Research Center, where she is conducting terra-mechanics research in the mTRAX Planetary Exploration Labs.
