he AGC Chair in Construction Management is being established to attract and retain high-level CEM faculty. With the $2.5M campaign complete, SDSU is moving forward with a faculty search that is planned to have a faculty member in place Fall 2024.

The SDSU College of Engineering is pleased to announce that Bergelectric Corporation has made a $100,000 gift to support the AGC Chair in Construction Management in the J.R. Filanc Construction Engineering and Management Program. The AGC Chair is being established to attract and retain high level faculty to lead the program.

The College of Engineering is pleased to announce that DN Tanks has made a $52,000 gift to endow the DN Tanks Endowed Scholarship for students in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering. Applicants must be sophomore, junior or senior level students and must be a member of SDSU’s National Society of Black Engineers or be involved with the SDSU Black Resource Center. Applicants must have a 2.5 or higher GPA and be enrolled full-time.

Emeritus Professor Dr. George Mansfield and SDSU's National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) President, Jamilla Thomas, worked together to provide virtual tutoring, for several students during the pandemic and social unrest in San Diego.

The College of Engineering is pleased to announce that alumnus Paul Stuverud, ’71 BSEE and ’76 MSEE, has made an additional $50,000 gift to the endowed scholarship fund “Paul Stuverud MESA Endowed Scholarship” he created in 2019.
